American-made chukkas for those who accept nothing less than authentic, handmade perfection

With its unmatched versatility, the chukka boot may be the best thing to happen to menswear since the five-pocket jean—and in the hands of the leather artisans at Yuketen, the iconic style gets the treatment it deserves. Landing somewhere between a shoe and a boot, the Maine Guide Chukka is one of Yuketen’s most challenging handsewn moccasins, and they execute it beautifully. Using premium oiled Horween Chromepak leather, Yuketen’s proprietary last, and decades of leathercraft experience, each boot is handmade in their Maine workshop and finished with a crepe sole.

  • An entirely handsewn chukka made from premium Horween leather
  • A modern and raw interpretation of the classic chukka made with traditional moccasin construction
  • Unlined shoe has raw details such as the omission of eyelets and an intentionally‐unfinished leather edge at the ankle
  • Horween’s Chromepak is water‐resistant oiled pull‐up leather that’s particularly suitable for moccasin construction
  • Multiple pieces of leather are hand-sewn and hand-lasted on Yuketen’s proprietary last
  • Crepe outsole is replaceable and provides superior shock absorption and a slip‐resistant tread
  • Midsoles constructed from composition rubber and vegetable‐tanned leather for unbeatable comfort
  • Steel shank reinforcements form a stable bridge for even weight distribution
  • Full leather insoles are made from 100% vegetable‐tanned leather and will naturally shape to your foot over time
  • Handmade in USA
