Yosemite Valley Puffy Throw

in Forest Green

You don’t have to visit Yosemite to find yourself comfy and cozy beneath some of it’s most remarkable topography

To celebrate 100 years of the natural beauty preserved by the National Park Service, we teamed up with Rumpl to design an exclusive version of their much-loved puffy blankets. With a topographic bird’s-eye view of Yosemite in hand, in which a sharp eye may even be able to spot a couple of the park’s most prominent rock formations, Rumpl applied the design to their signature nature-inspired baffle pattern. The blanket comes in a forest green colorway, unlike any color they’ve made before, that’s topped off with lime green piping for the perfect contrast. Much like our National Parks, it’s a thing of beauty that you to have to see in person to truly appreciate.

While the compression of the blanket is allowed and encouraged, storing your blanket in the stuff sack for long periods of time can decrease the loft of the insulation and cause the blanket to be less warm. When storing, make sure the blanket is dry and wiped clean before packing away. Periodically take the blanket out of the stuff sack and give it some air to maintain loft and prevent odor build up.

Rumpl blankets are designed to shed dirt and odor, however periodic washing is still needed for optimal performance. Use warm water and a non-detergent soap such as Sport-Wash or Nikwax Tech Wash. The use of a front load washer is highly preferred, however if unavailable, a top load machine set to delicate will do. Do not dry clean.

Air/line drying is encouraged, but you can use a standard drying machine set to the low heat setting. Warning: too much heat can melt the fabric and insulation.

Your blanket could be soaking up water because the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) has been compromised by dirt, or because it has been cleaned with a conventional laundry detergent. Dirt attracts water and household detergents leave water-attracting (hydrophilic) residues, leading to fabric 'wetting out' in wet or damp conditions. We suggest using a combination of a tech wash and a wash-in-water repellent to revitalize your blanket to its original condition.
