Mora Fisherman Jumper

in Granite

Originally created for fishermen going out into the wet windy weather at sea, a true fisherman's rib can take up almost double the yarn of a stocking stitch garment of the same size.

The Mora is Finisterre’s take on this traditional style and is fully fashioned from Merino wool with stitch detail raglan shoulders.

Why Merino?

Learn how tiny Merino fibers are a wonder of nature; keeping Merino sheep comfortable amidst the rugged landscapes and harsh climate changes between New Zealand seasons. Read more here.

Naturally porous Merino wool fibers can absorb up to 35% of their body weight, pulling moisture from your skin and wicking it away while drying fast enough to avoid the dreaded clammy chill when your exertion slows. Merino wool incredibly ‘senses’ the humidity between different environments (re: your skin and the air outside), and transfers moisture accordingly to either keep you cool and dry, or warm and dry. Witchcraft? maybe.

  • Hand wash only in cool water
  • Use gentle detergent
  • Dry flat away from direct heat or sunlight
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Due to the nature of fine micron Merino some pilling may occur on wearing.
