Porteur S

in Faraday Grey

Story

A sleek and modern electric bike designed by the minds at IDEO.

Faraday began when a team of designers and engineers from IDEO was challenged to design the ultimate modern utility bicycle by Oregon Manifest, the Portland-based bicycle design and innovation contest. Six long months later, they’d created a totally unique electric bike, which, with the help of a successful Kickstarter campaign, birthed the company’s flagship model: the Porteur. And now, Faraday has outdone themselves again.

The Porteur S delivers everything Faraday has learned about designing exceptional electric bikes in a remarkably affordable configuration. It takes the award-winning powertrain, battery, and electronics from its big brother and incorporates improved features for the modern commuter. We’re talking:

  • A 5-speed internally geared hub for crisp, low-maintenance shifting
  • Quality Avid disc brakes for maximum stopping power
  • Alloy fenders to keep you dry and stylish
  • Dual kickstand
  • Integrated headlight

Available in three sizes (see below for details), in both the standard White and Faraday Grey, The Porteur S delivers everything you’d expect, being the baby of a tight-knit team whose love for functional design is truly top-class, and all at a fraction of the price.
