Color: Grey/Western Shadow Range
As if the famed shirt jacket wasn’t versatile enough, Faherty doubled down on this wardrobe workhorse to pack two overshirts into one. Faherty teamed up with Native artist, veteran, author, and teacher Doug Good Feather for this highly versatile layering piece. One side features a custom-woved rendition of Doug’s Western Range design in a colorway only available here at Huckberry, while the other side is built from diamond-quilted stretch cotton in a handsome gray hue. Regardless of which way you wear it, you’ll be glad you did.
An artist, veteran, author, and teacher, Doug is from the Standing Rock Lakota and Dakota Nation and is the founder of the Lakota Way Healing Center. Faherty’s ongoing partnership with Doug has enabled the Center to purchase 100+ acres of land and expand its ability to offer Indigenous spiritual practices to anyone in need of healing.
Long before we took the plunge into the wild waters of entrepreneurship, twin brothers Alex and Mike Faherty were our surf buddies. Admittedly, they did most of the surfing on those trips, like 99.9%. But what we really remember were the late-night bonfire sessions that could spill over into the wee hours of the morning. These days, we’re much better equipped for beach days that spill over into beach nights thanks to the apparel outfit they started: Faherty. Their lifelong connection to the ocean, and Mike’s years of experience designing for Ralph Lauren have come together to create apparel that’s sustainably built from some of the softest fabrics we’ve ever felt. It’s a level of comfort and mindfulness The Dude himself (a.k.a. El Duderino) would appreciate.
