The construction, design and layout of the Spinning roundel editions represent a far more sophisticated level of design, and watch making prowess from AVI-8. Meticulously planned to allow for significant layering on the dial to offer all the more depth and volume, the highlight of this watch is the vintage layout of the chronograph subdial eye at the 12 o’clock position as it zips by to count off tenths of a second.
The Roundels themselves are layered in different colors of painted film in the historic representations of roundel markings of the WWII-era Hurricanes. The various layers are then carefully assembled inside the dial to be, on one hand visible yet subtle in use. Powered with absolute precision by a customized Japanese made Seiko TMI chronograph this unique modification of the traditional chronograph sports watch is no less accurate, or exacting in its performance.
The Solid Marine Grade stainless steel is all the more rounded with a domed hardened sapphire coated lens assembled flush to the case for durability and visibility. Sturdy rectangular lugs attach the premium genuine leather straps with ease, providing comfort while continuing the overall robust look and feel of this superb timepiece.
