Color: Dark Chestnut Nubuck
The Greenflex chukka boot is one of the best kept secrets in men's footwear. Handmade in Northern Italy by a family that's been making boots for six generations, these boots are eco-friendly, handsome as hell, and represent the best value on the market. It all starts with premium European leather that's aged for 30 days in an all-natural mixture of water, oak bark, and powdered mimosa. The leather is then softened with all-natural ingredients to produce a leather that is supple and environmentally friendly. The boot is then finished with 100% natural rubber soles that feel like walking on a cloud. We love these boots and think you will too.
When we visited the Astorflex factory in 2018, we chose this special nubuck leather specifically for these custom, exclusive Greenflex chukka boots. It’s got a slightly waxy finish, is super soft and supple, and will wear in beautifully over time, picking up the patina of roads more or less traveled—wherever you may roam.
Due to the handmade nature and natural variations of this beeswax leather, color may vary slightly from the images here.
Because these boots are handmade and hand-finished, the boots you receive might appear lighter or darker than in the images on this page. Due to the way the oil dries, darkens, and affects the leather used for these shoes, there’s bound to be some color variations. You can oil them yourself with vegetable or mink oil or send them into a shoe repair shop or cobbler to have them professionally oiled to achieve a darker color.
Please note, the Astorflex shoebox may be labeled as "Dark Chestnut" - the color is the same as Nubuck.
